We are the women of Anatolia and Mesopotamia;
We have been living in the dark days of history. For decades the people of these lands, have been more and more oppressed. We have seen poverty, we have seen war, we have seen the ones who escaped and survived from the war of the states; but killed in the war of capitalism or patriarchy. We have seen our sisters tortured, stabbed, murdered, dragged naked, torn into pieces, burned alive.. We have witnessed our children, crushed and run over, we have seen Saturday Mothers asking for justice and we have seen the murderers trying to silence our mothers, by attacking them or arresting them. We have faced with many cruelties and we have resisted them all, and we will resist till the end.
We are the women of these lands, we have witnessed the fall of many states, many kings and many sultans.. While the history of «man» repeat itself we are finding out and writing another history, the history of ours, the history of rebellion and resistance. We know the women, who have been fighting against patriarchy, we know the women whose hands on their hips, who are ready to clench their fists. Because we are all these women, and while we are creating another history, we create culture. It is a culture of empathy, understanding and solidarity. Excluding the relations of authority and obedience, this is a culture of responsibility, to have our lives in our hands, having our struggle for our freedom.
Sisters, comrades, our struggle is the struggle of the oppressed against oppressor. Any place where the hierarchy of power appears, there becomes a fighting zone. Any time when the oppressor use the tools of violence, we don’t hesitate to resist and fight back. Fighting with the «seen» and «unseen» patterns of authority and patriarchy, we will be able to actualise revolution from now and here.
Whereever we are we know and understand eachother, because it is same light glaring in our eyes, it is the same shout in our voice.

Somos las mujeres de Anatolia y Mesopotamia.
Hemos estado viviendo en los días oscuros de la historia. Durante décadas la gente de estas tierras ha estado cada vez más oprimida. Hemos visto la pobreza, hemos visto la guerra, hemos visto a los que escaparon y sobrevivieron a la guerra de los Estados, pero son asesinados en la guerra del capitalismo o el patriarcado. Hemos visto a nuestras hermanas torturadas, apuñaladas, asesinadas, arrastradas desnudas, despedazadas, quemadas vivas. Hemos visto a nuestros hijos aplastados y atropellados, hemos visto a las Madres del Sábado (Cumartesi Anneleri) pidiendo justicia y hemos visto a los asesinos tratando de silenciar a nuestras madres, atacándolas o arrestándolas. Hemos afrontado muchas crueldades y las hemos resistido a todas, y resistiremos hasta el final.
Somos las mujeres de estas tierras, hemos sido testigos de la caída de muchos Estados, muchos reyes y muchos sultanes. Mientras que la historia del «hombre» se repite, estamos descubriendo y escribiendo otra historia, nuestra historia, la historia de la rebelión y la resistencia. Conocemos a las mujeres que han estado luchando contra el patriarcado, conocemos a las mujeres con las manos en sus caderas, listas para apretar sus puños. Porque somos todas esas mujeres, y mientras estamos creando otra historia, creamos cultura. Una cultura de empatía, comprensión y solidaridad, excluyendo las relaciones de autoridad y obediencia. Una cultura de responsabilidad, para tener nuestras vidas en nuestras manos, sosteniendo nuestra lucha por nuestra libertad.
Hermanas, camaradas, nuestra lucha es la lucha de los oprimidos contra los opresores. Cualquier lugar donde aparece la jerarquía de poder, se convierte en una zona de combate. Cualquier momento en que el opresor use las herramientas de la violencia, no dudamos en resistirnos y contraatacar. Luchando contra los patrones de autoridad y patriarcado «visibles» e «invisibles», seremos capaces de renovar la revolución desde ahora y desde aquí.
Dondequiera que estemos, nos conocemos y nos entendemos, porque es la misma luz que brilla en nuestros ojos, es el mismo grito en nuestra voz.
